The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer at our two cancer centres, the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina, and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. Provincially, we provide services to around 10,000 patients annually and our radiation oncology services account for 2,400 patients annually. Duties

• The Radiation Therapist I prepares plans and delivers ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
• The Radiation Therapist provides patient assessment and education for radiation treatment and side effects.
• The Radiation Therapist I reports to the Provincial Leader or Site Manager of Radiation Therapy, and is directly supervised by a Radiation Therapist II.
• This position is classified as a Nuclear Energy Worker.

Requirements

All applicants must have a degree or diploma in Radiation Therapy, and a certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C. Applicants must be eligible to be licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and hold membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. No prior experience necessary.

Salary

Range between $41.282/hr and $47.159/hr
