Duties
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Working to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Registered Technologist MRT (N) will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the Registered Technologist MRT (N) is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. The successful candidate's home site will the St. Catharines Site and must be willing to work at two or more sites.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
o Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Nuclear Medicine M.R.T. (N.)
o One year Nuclear Medicine experience in the past five years in a similar hospital setting
o Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment of diagnostic image
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
o Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting nuclear medicine practice standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
o Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
o Working knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systems
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset

75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD
Salary
$36.84 TO $50.24 PER HOUR
