Unit Summary

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Pet Scan and Ultrasound.

Position Summary

As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations within the specific discipline, provides patient-care to meet the clients' needs and guides/directs clinical and technical associates, follows "Standards of Practice" as outlined from the College of Medical Radiation Technologists and performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply and prescribe ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist
• Member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist
• Registered with CAMRT
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience preferred
• Previous CT experience preferred
• CT Imaging Certificate preferred.
