Duties
Primary Duties
• Work independently as the expert in respiratory therapy at Campbellford Memorial Hospital
• Identify urgent medical conditions within your scope of practice for immediate attention of the appropriate
physician
• Pulmonary diagnostics within scope of professional practice, including pulmonary function testing
• Provide therapeutic interventions including:
o Sleep therapy (CPAP, BiPAP)
o Airway management
o Bronchodilator and inhaled medication therapy
o Oxygen and medical gas therapy
• Provide applicable education to patients on their diagnosis and treatment within professional scope
Requirements
Education & Experience
• Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Professional registration in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is an asset
• Experience with critical care and emergency situations
• Pulmonary function testing experience
