Duties

The Senior Mammography Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT), works as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing professional expertise and is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day functions of the Mammography department at Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS).

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Canada (CMRITO).
 Current CPR certification.
 Successful completion of Breast Imaging I and Breast Imaging 2.
 Certificate in Breast Imaging preferred.
 Registration with the Canadian association of Medical Radiation Technologists/ Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (CAMRT/OAMRS) preferred.
 Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Breast Imaging.
 Leadership experience is an asset.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
 Computer experience in a windows environment.
 Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
 Demonstrated the ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public.
 Demonstrated excellent communication and time management skills.
 Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
 Position involves patient transport and pushing/pulling mobile equipment.

In addition, the successful candidate must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, along with weekends and statutory holidays. An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
