The 2014 Weekend to End Women’s Cancers held a number of firsts for third-year Radiation Therapy student Kaitlynn Roote. Having never taken part in a walkathon or marathon, let alone any other major fundraiser, she considered the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers a good time to start.
The walk spanned 32 kilometres across Toronto, just ten kilometres shy of a full marathon, starting and ending at the Rogers Centre.
