The West Parry Sound Health Centre's Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic is a centralized clinic that manages and operates 6 rural sites. They are supported by a skillful team of Allied Health professionals including: Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health & Addictions programs, and Physiotherapy. The Nurse Practitioner Led Clinics are an innovative model for delivery of comprehensive primary health care in Ontario, designed to improve access to care for thousands of individuals and families who do not currently have a primary health care provider.

Duties
Responsibilities include working as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver professional primary medical care and health education programs to the community, and, as a Nursing Station Manager (Nurse Practitioner), respond to peaks in service demands in the community.
Our beautiful health centre is located on the shores of spectacular Georgian Bay, and our facility offers the best that both nature and technology can offer. We work in one of Canada’s most modern health care facilities and live in one of Canada’s top outdoor adventure destinations. You can get from desk to dock in 10 minutes!
Normal working hours will be day shift, Monday to Friday, although some extended and/or weekend hours may be required. Travel between nursing stations, and West Parry Sound Health Centre will be required.
Requirements
• A current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario in the Extended Class;
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized University and Certificate as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner;
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and maintenance of high professional standards;
• Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and access to a vehicle, as travel is required;
• Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs;
• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;
• Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre; Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibility, Excellence, Safety.
