Newest cohort of Diabetes Educators graduate from Michener’s international Diabetes Educator program in Qatar

Congratulations to the newest graduates from Michener’s international Diabetes Educator graduate certificate program in Qatar!

In partnership with the Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), Michener’s international Diabetes Education program provides training to 25 healthcare professionals in Qatar each year to provide care and help improve the quality of life for those living with diabetes. This online distance program is certified by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and is taught by certified Diabetes Educators.

“I am delighted to see such a talented group of healthcare professionals complete this world class Diabetes Educator Graduate Certification Programme,” said Dr. Abdulla Al Hamaq, Executive Director of the Qatar Diabetes Association, in an interview with Middle Eastern business news source Zawya. “At QDA it is our goal to deliver programmes that are designed to help people affected by diabetes. Given that diabetes is one of Qatar’s biggest health challenges with 16.7% of Qataris living with the condition, having 25 health professionals graduate this year puts us one step forward in increasing awareness among the community and enabling us to better support patients living with the condition.”

Michener’s international Diabetes Educator graduate certificate program was profiled in the Summer 2014 issue of Michener Magazine.
