The Michener Institute of Education at UHN has been welcomed as a member institution by the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT), connecting Michener to a network that will make it easier for students to determine their credit equivalency when considering transfers into programs at other institutions.
ONCAT, an agency funded by the provincial government, collaborates with postsecondary institutions to help students explore their transfer and pathway options across more than 50 of Ontario’s colleges, universities and Indigenous Institutes.
This partnership will help students discover what credits they will receive for any previous post-secondary studies should they decide to transfer into one of Michener’s programs in the applied health sciences.
This agreement marks the beginning of a great collaborative partnership between Michener and ONCAT, with both sides currently working to ensure the full implementation of this new initiative.
While user access to Michener within the system has not been implemented yet, it will arrive in the future. Watch the ONCAT website for further details on Michener’s integration as a member institution.
We look forward to this new partnership with ONCAT and the opportunity it will provide to attract and train more future health professionals for Ontario’s health system.
