Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing exceptional patient care. You will collaborate closely with our medical team and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnostic data.

Compensation & Schedule

·         Hourly Rate: $36.00 – $50.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

·         Employment Type: Full time, Part Time & Casual

·         Hours: Monday – Friday (Weekends optional)

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Execute a variety of ultrasound examinations (General, OB/GY and Musculoskeletal, and Vascular is an asset but not necessary).

·         Prepare and position patients safely and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.

·         Optimize ultrasound equipment settings to capture high-quality diagnostic images.

·         Analyze technical findings, recognize pathology, and provide preliminary technical impressions to the Radiologist.

·         Maintain accurate patient records and enter data efficiently into the PACS/RIS systems.

·         Ensure rigorous sterilization, infection control, and equipment maintenance protocols are followed.

Qualifications & Requirements

·         Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

·         Certification: Active credentialed membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.

·         Registration: Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is mandatory.

·         Experience: Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

·         Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a high degree of empathy for patient care.

·         Safety: Current CPR/BLS certification.
