About the Course
The purpose of this workshop is to update learners’ practice using ultrasound energy to guide precise puncture, and cannulation placement with or without a wire. There will be a review of the basics of ultrasound energy as it applies to procedural skills, the types of probes available, depth, gain optimization and angulation to get the best picture.
Learners will review anatomy, the radial and brachial artery and surrounding structures and be able to engage in hands-on practice with phantoms, learning about probe orientation and best practice cannulation technique. Common scenarios learners may encounter in the clinical environment will also be explored.
Course Outcomes
