Wanda G.
Wanda is a registered nurse working in a Toronto area critical care department. She worked with many graduates of Michener’s Respiratory Therapy program, and many of her colleagues and friends in her person life where graduates of various Michener programs. While a previous Diabetes Educator course she took was comprehensive, she didn’t feel as though she had the knowledge or confidence to even think about working in a Diabetes Education department.

“I had no experience working with patients who were pregnant,” she explains. “Diabetes in pregnancy, even in those with existing diabetes, can be very different than in a non-pregnant state. I am glad to say after taking this specialized course at Michener, I have more confidence to work in this area.”
