Learner Outcomes

Health practitioners directly involved in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery will examine the key components of ultrasound physics and instrumentation, as well as develop skills to recognize and identify ultrasound anatomy of the breast, prostate and uterus. The hands-on ultrasound scanning laboratory component will reinforce knowledge and develop skills for ultrasound localization.

Kremkau, Frederick; Sonography Principles and Instruments; 8th Edition Elsevier, 2011; Pages 292; ISBN 978-1-4377-0980-3. Not included in course fee. It is recommended that students obtain this textbook prior to starting the course. Students are responsible for acquiring course textbooks. Textbook can be purchased at the U of T bookstore.
