English Language Requirements

Applicants and students

The Michener Institute of Education at UHN specializes in training practitioners for the health care field. The content of lectures, course materials and daily interaction is high in science content, and the ability to communicate, read, and write in the English language is necessary to ensure students are adequately prepared to successfully complete their programs of study. In addition to meeting the general admission requirements for programs, it may be necessary for applicants to provide proof of English language ability. If proof of English language ability is required, the assessment should take place as early as possible. The test results can take up to six weeks to be returned to us, and a candidate cannot be offered a firm offer, nor start a program, if this criterion is still outstanding.

Only tests taken in the last two years are considered valid.
