Students must have access to a computer with supported operating system and web browser, access to the internet, and an e-mail account.
Access to and basic proficiency with a PDF reader, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint (or equivalent) is also recommended as they are used to access course material and submit evaluation items.
The following is information regarding recommended software and browser requirements for Michener’s Blackboard:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
- VLC Player (free to download media player)
- USB headset with microphone (for courses where Zoom will be used)
- Blackboard App for Students (free download for iOS and Android)
- Browser Support for Blackboard Learn – Michener recommends Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox for both Windows and Mac OS
